Shaped Cards

 Hi crafters,

This week's challenge over at Passion for Markers has been set by our lovely Kitty and she would love to see your 'Shaped Cards'.

We are kindly sponsored by Sheepski Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

I have used one of their images on my card this week and this one is called 'Dahlias'.

I have made a twisted Easel Card and I coloured the image with my promarkers.  I printed an extra dahlia and mounted it on foam pads to give it some dimension.  I wanted the flowers to be the main focus so I kept my background papers in the neutral colours of grey and dark blue.  I printed the sentiments on the computer and added some pearls in the corner as the finishing touch!
It's a bit tricky to get a good photo of an easel card so this is how it looks when it lies flat!

Well I hope you can join in with this week's fun challenge.  Remember, you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this great prize!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

Fabulous florals

 Hi crafters,

It's my turn in the hot seat this week at Passion for Markers and I have chosen 'Fabulous Florals' for the new challenge.

We are very kindly sponsored by Colour of Love and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

I have used one of their images on my card this week and this one is called 'Rory's Marigolds'

I coloured this gorgeous image with my promarkers and added touches of glitter here and there.  I kept the image white on white as I wanted the image to be the main focal point of the card.  I added some die cut banners in matching papers as well as a couple of enamel dots in co-orodinating colours.
I also stamped the sentiment directly onto the card using my stamping platform,
I hope you are able to join in with my challenge this week and don't forget, you can use any of your markers but don't forget to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize.
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.
Hugs, Karen x

 Hi crafters,

The new challenge over at Passion for Markers has been set by our lovely Elaine and she has given you the theme of ‘add some sparkle' to inspire you this week.  Elaine would like you to include something sparkly on your creations!

Our generous sponsor this week is Rachelle Anne Miller and she is offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.  All of the DT have used images from Rachelle Anne Miller's newest release on their creations this week.

I have used this gorgeous image called ''Bunny's Easter Egg'

I coloured the image with my promarkers and added lots of glitter - it just doesn't show very much in the photo!!  I also added some sparkly ribbon to follow the theme for this week's challenge!  I added a die cut border as well as a flower and some leaves.  The sentiment comes with the image which is perfect!  Some enamel dots were the finishing touches to my card!
I hope you'll be able to join in with this week's fab challenge.  You can use any of your markers but don't forget to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this week's great prize!
See you soon,
Karen x

Friends / friendship

 Hi crafters,

There's a brand new challenge over at Passion for Markers and this week, our lovely Wendy has given us the fab theme of 'Friends/Friendship'.

We are kindly sponsored by Leann's World 101 and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.

I've used one of their images on my card this week and this one is called 'Friendly Walk'.

I coloured the image with my promarkers and found some co-ordinating strips of paper in my stash.  I die cut a couple of frame shapes and added them behind the image on an embossed background.  I inked all the edges with some distress inks and added some matching enamel dots.
I hope you are able to join in with this week's challenge.  Remember you can use any of your markers but don't forget to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize.

I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations.

Hugs, Karen x

Hi crafters,

Another week has flown by and it's time for a brand new challenge at Passion for Markers.

This week, our lovely Nat has given us the fab theme of 'Dots and/or stripes' and we are kindly sponsored by Polkadoodles who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.

The Design Tem were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with this week and I chose this one called 'Butterfly Flowerpots'

I pasted the image twice and flipped it over so that I had more pots for my card!  I coloured the image with my promarkers and added lots of glitter!  I added some stencilling to the corners and added some dotty ribbon underneath the image - it matches much better in real life!!
The stripey paper was added to fit the theme and some enamel dots were the finishing touches to my card along with the stamped sentiment.
Well I hope you can join in with this week's nice and easy challenge.  Remember, you can use any of your markers but make sure you follow the theme to be eligible for this week's fab prize!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!
Hugs, Karen x

Tuesday 2 January 2024

 Hi crafters,

A very Happy New Year to you all!  Hope you've had a lovely Christmas and are ready for a brand-new challenge over at Passion for Markers.

Our lovely Linda has given us a fab theme of 'New Beginnings' i.e. new house, new baby, new job etc.  We will also accept entries using new crafty goodies (please tell us what they are so we can go shopping). We are kindly sponsored by Uniko Stamps who are offering the lucky winner 1 product of their choice - stamp, stencil, die set etc (any value).

I've made a new baby card this week and I've used a gorgeous digi from LOTV called 'Baby with Teddy'

I coloured the image with my promarkers and I've added glitter here and there!  I used up some papers from my stash and inked all the edges with distress inks.  I die cut some hearts and added some matching papers to them and the sentiment is also from LOTV.
I was really pleased with this card as it is so useful to use up those scrap papers that we all have but can't bear to throw away!!  Some enamel dots were the finishing touch to my card.
I hope you'll be able to find some crafty time to join in with this week's challenge.  Don't forget, you can use any of your markers but remember to follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning this fab prize!
I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations!

Tuesday 5 December 2023

Hi crafters,

This week we are launching our very special “Mega Christmas challenge” which runs for a whole month and ends on 2nd January 2024!

The Design Teams are taking a little break and to make up for the lack of challenges, we have some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is “add a sentiment”.  We don't mind what you create for this challenge, as long as you include a sentiment and colour with your markers!  You are welcome to make Christmas creations but as the challenge will still be running after the ‘BIG’ day you can of course make any type of creation.  We are limiting the number of entries you can make to just 3 for this month long challenge.  Please remember to be eligible for our prizes you must use your markers such as Promarkers, Copics, Spectrum Noir, Karin, Zig Clean Color etc

So now for the exciting bit – the prizes!

Wow we are sure you’ll agree our sponsors have been super generous once again this year!  We are so grateful to have their continued support.

Both design teams will share some inspiration with you but as it such a long challenge we will be posting the inspiration from Team 2 today and then in two week’s time, we will be posting inspiration from Team 1.

This is my card for the Challenge using my favourite Snowman stamp!

I've used some Lavinia stamps for the wreath and created a little snow scene in the centre with the hill stencils and some stamped trees.  I coloured the snowman and the berries with my promarkers and used a white gel pen for the polka dot scarf and hat.  I added lots of glitter here and there and added a text stamp around the edges of my card. I then inked it with distress inks and some red gems were the finishing touch to my card!

I hope you all manage to find some crafty time to join in with this great challenge with the amazing prizes.  Don't forget to use your markers and follow the theme to be in with a chance of winning!
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and all the very best for 2024!
Hugs, Karen x
