Buttons and/or bows

Hi crafters,
Hope you've all had a good week and are ready for a brand new challenge at Passion for Promarkers.  I'm hosting the challenge this week and I've chosen the nice and easy theme - 'Buttons and/or bows'.  If you're anything like me I like to add a button on most of my cards so I'm sure you'll be able to join in with the challenge this week!  There's a brilliant prize of a £10.00 voucher to spend at Digi Stamp Boutique who are our kind sponsors for this week.  They have some gorgeous images in their online store so you'll have a great time spending your prize!

DSB

We were lucky enough to have an image to play with from their store and I've used 'Sketchy Flower Frames'  which was great to colour in with my promarkers!

My polka dot papers were still out after my last card so I went with the polka dots again!!  I had a go at doodling around the card as well to carry on the effect from the frames.  I liked it so much I even doodled around the sentiment!  I added a couple of buttons to the corners as well as a bow on one of the flower stems. I also added a couple of enamel dots as it just needed something else in the space.
There's some ribbon in the centre of the card but I managed to almost cover it up completely.
It would be great if you could join in with my challenge this week.  Don't forget, you can enter any of your creations - it doesn't have to be a card.  Just make sure you use your promarkers and of course, follow the theme.
I look forward to seeing your lovely creations.
Hugs, Karen xx

Animals

Hi crafters,
I hope you're all having a lovely Easter break and managed to find some time for crafting!  There's a great new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Jacky has chosen a nice easy theme for us - 'Animals'.  We are kindly sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images form their online store.
                                                      Crafty Sentiments Designs
This is an amazing prize and their images are all absolutely gorgeous!  I'm sure you all have a stamp or a digi that would suit this challenge so please join in and be in with a chance of winning this amazing prize.
We were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with and I chose this one which is called 'Stanley - Heart Wrapped Up',
I've made this card ready for my husband for our Wedding Anniversary which is at the end of this month.  I really wanted to try and colour in the image using black as I've seen some great examples of people's work lately and so I had a go!  The sentiment is from one of Lisa's CD's which was absolutely perfect for this image.  I added a white gel pen to the ribbon to continue the dotty theme and coloured the backing card in the same red as the heart so it matched perfectly!
I could only add a couple of banners and buttons as this is for hubby and I really had to try hard not to add anything else!!  Should I have put some die cut corners on the card or some more hearts?  I felt as though it needed something else but I walked away and left it as a CAS card!
This is a side view showing his lovely shiny nose which I did with a touch of glossy accents.
Well thanks for dropping by and I look forward to visiting your blogs to see your gorgeous creations.
Remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  As always to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course follow the theme.
See you soon.

Babies

Hi crafters,
Well I've lost my craft room again but it's worth it to have my babies back home for Easter!  We've also been decorating our bedroom and I had to move all my crafty stash so guess what - now I can't find anything!  I'm wasting my valuable crafty time with trying to remember where I hid - I mean, kept everything hee hee!!
But enough of my troubles!  I'm here to tell you about the great new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Elaine has chosen the fab theme - 'Babies (animals/people)'.
We are kindly sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps - and they are offering the lucky winner a $12.00 voucher  to spend in their online store.
                                                          Di's Digi Stamps
Luckily I'd made my card before all the upheaval and I've used a gorgeous digi from The Paper Shelter.  It's from a set called 'Funny Giraffes' and I loved colouring this one with my promarkers!
I used my favourite card shape and the papers were a freebie with a magazine.  I added a little wooden dummy and added a die cut baby mobile to the corner.  I also put a small piece of organza under the image and added some WOC flowers in matching colours as the finishing touch.  I made a box for this card so it can be kept as a keepsake.  I added the baby's name and the date of birth to personalise it and make it a little bit more special.  Hope they like it anyway!

So why not enter your card in this week's challenge.  Remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  To be eligible for the prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products (promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, aqua markers or metallic markers) and of course follow the theme.
I look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your gorgeous creations.
See you soon,

Only Girls Allowed

Hi crafters,
Well it's been quite a week with all the snow and ice but hopefully we can get back to normal now!  I used the snow days to catch up on some crafting ready for the new challenge at Passion for Promarkers.  Our lovely Donna has chosen the fab theme of 'Only Girls Allowed' so it's a great excuse to make some girly cards!
We are kindly sponsored by Ppinkydolls who are offering the lucky winner a choice of 3 digi images from their online store.  Their images are stunning and you'll certainly be spoilt for choice!
                                                           Ppinkydolls
We were lucky enough to have one of their images to play with and I chose 'Looking for you'.
I really enjoyed colouring this image with my promarkers and I added a touch of pencil here and there.
I've embossed the base layer and added some peel offs to the background papers.  This is a fab layout which we used at our recent workshop (thanks Lisa!!) and I added some ribbon and a snazzy button to finish off the card.  This card is for my niece's 21st birthday next month so I hope she likes it!

I look forward to seeing your gorgeous creations for this challenge.  Remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  As always to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course follow the theme.

Good luck and I'll see you again soon!

Have a Heart

Hi crafters,
I'm back with a card for this week's challenge at Passion for Promarkers!  Our lovely Nat has chosen a nice and easy theme for this week entitled 'Have a Heart'.  It could be anything from papers with a heart design, heart embellishments or a heart in the image on your card - so why not join in and be in with a chance of winning a prize!
We are kindly sponsored by 'A Day for Daisies' and they are offering the lucky winner a $12.00 voucher to spend in their online store.  Their images are amazing and you're sure to find some you love!
                                                             ADFD
We were lucky enough to have some of their gorgeous images to play with and I chose 'You may kiss the bride'.
This Wedding Card has been made for a special couple as the husband is French and the bride is Welsh.  So I found some papers with the Eiffel Tower (of course) and on the tag behind the image, there is a verse from the Welsh National anthem!  This is the only way I could think of having something from the two countries on the card!  Hope they like it anyway!
I coloured the image with my promarkers and added plenty of glitter to the dress!  I added some organza ribbon to the tag, some WOC flowers and a few heart embellishments to finish off the card.  Oh and the base layer is embossed with a heart embossing folder and I added some pearls here and there.
Thanks for dropping by and I look forward to visiting your blogs to see your gorgeous creations for this challenge.  Remember you can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  As always to be eligible for our prize draw you must use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and of course follow the theme.
See you again soon!

Love and Kisses

Hi crafters,
Hope you are all keeping warm this week with this cold spell that we are having!
It's time for a new challenge at Passion for Promarkers and this week, our lovely Lorraine C has chosen a fab theme - 'Love and kisses'.  Perfect for your Valentines card or it could even just be a Birthday card!
We are kindly sponsored by All Dressed Up and they are offering the lucky winner a choice of 2 digi images from their online store.
                                                    All Dressed Up stamps
We were lucky enough to have one of their gorgeous images for our cards this week and I've used 'A kiss for valentines' for my project this week.
I loved colouring this one in with my promarkers and those giraffes are too cute!  I love pink and cream together and so I decided to colour the giraffes in these colours as well!!  That's why I love colouring in so much i think - a bit of artistic licence now and then is great!!
I die cut some flowers out of the pages of an old book and inked the edges with 'Antique Linen' distress ink.  I embossed the base layer and inked the edges of all the papers as well.  I found some pearl brads for the centre of the flowers and a couple of pink buttons were the finishing touch!
So why not have a go at making a card using this theme and enter it in our challenge for this week.  You never know - you could win a couple of gorgeous digis!
Don't forget to use your Winsor & Newton (formerly Letraset) products and I look forward to visiting your blogs to see all your lovely creations!

Lots of layers

Hi crafters,
Hope you've had a great week and are ready for another challenge at Passion for Promarkers.  Our lovely Linda has chosen a really easy theme for us this week and it's 'Lots of Layers'.  A great excuse to use up some of the lovely paper stash that we all have - I've decided I'm not buying any papers this year - I'm going to use up all the papers I already have, even the really nice ones that I haven't been able to part with up to now!!!
We are very kindly sponsored by Digi Stamp Boutique and they are offering the lucky winner a £10.00 voucher to use in their online store.  There are so many digis to choose from for absolutely every occasion and they are all such great images.

                                                       DSB
We were lucky enough to have an image to use for our cards this week so have a look at all the lovely Design Team cards for some ideas.
I've used 'Spring Bentley' on my card and I had a bit of a go at creating some fur for the little bunny!  I used my promarkers first for the base colour then I used my colour pencils to add the detail.

I found some coordinating papers to add the layers and added a trellis die behind the image (although I did a great job of covering it up!!)  I even got the sewing machine out and added some stitching to all the layers.  My little fence die came out again too and I added some punched flowers with gems to them.  Some matching WOC flowers were the finishing touch and a bit of glitter here and there!

I look forward to visiting your blogs to see all your lovely entries - remember it doesn't have to be a card, it can be any type of creation but to be eligible for the prize, you must use your Winsor & Newton products.

See you soon,
Karen xx

Masculine Card

Hi crafters,

Happy New Year to you all - hope you've had a lovely break and ready to get crafting again!   My boys have both returned to Uni after Christmas so I'll be throwing myself back into crafting to help with the empty nest syndrome again!  I don't think it gets any easier - they come home but then they leave again!!
Anyway, there's a great new challenge at Passion for Promarkers to help us all get back into crafting mode and this week, Kitty has chosen the theme of 'Masculine cards'.  You can enter using any type of creation, it doesn’t have to be a card.  Please remember to be eligible for the prize you must use your promarkers, flex markers, tria markers, metallic or aqua markers.

This week, we are kindly sponsored by Sasayaki Glitter who are offering the lucky winner 1 digi image from their online store.  Their images are amazing and we were lucky enough to use one of their digis for our cards this week.
                                                         Sasayaki Glitter
The image I've used is called 'Shy Flies a Kite' and I really enjoyed colouring this image with my promarkers.

I added some bunting to carry on the kite theme and some die cut clouds and added a bit of hession behind the image to add a bit of texture!  A couple of buttons are always handy for male cards as well!!
I look forward to visiting your blogs to see your cards for this challenge!
See you soon,
